Torn Apart: Pursued by Darkness is the first book in the series. In the Galaxy of Tithuber, it is quite common to send failed military experiments, rebels, prisoners of war, and criminals to various prison worlds throughout the galaxy to be forgotten. Kataru Mrinad descended from several less than savory ancestors, who made themselves self-proclaimed royalty on the prison continent on one of these prison worlds. Her aspirations and dreams were not those of the typical individual growing up in a farming community nor that of a member of royalty. Her birth and her life would eventually change the galaxy, but would it be what was best for the Galaxy of Tithuber? What would her enemies do to make sure she never reached her destiny?
